February was a great month for ACM@ECU! We had a Portfolio Website Workshop where participants learned about using HTML and CSS to showcase their projects and experience, and we had a Competitive Coding Workshop in collaboration with the ECU Coding Club!

It was a great winter for ACM@ECU! We had many events throughout the season, including a Git and Github Workshop, LinkedIn Workshop, Software Testing presentation, Postgres Queries workshop, and a social night in collaboration with Women In Tech!
October 2025 Newsletter
October was a busy month for ACM@ECU! We had many events throughout the month, including a Fidelity Ambassadors talk, a Technical Consulting presentation with guest speaker Leen Samhan, a HackNC Project Presentations meeting, and a relaxing study session! We are also excited to welcome our new 2025-2026 ACM@ECU board members.
September 2025 Newsletter
This month was full of exciting events with ACM@ECU! We kicked off with an API Workshop led by guest speaker Erika Dietrick, where members gained hands-on experience in backend and full-stack development. Next, our Tech Resume Workshop helped students refine their resumes and showcase their skills for future employers. We also launched weekly Board Game Nights, giving members a fun way to relax and connect outside the classroom.
March 2025 Newsletter
We have a very busy month here! March was kicked off with the Technology Summit, created by ACM and LSB. It was a big event where professionals from the tech industry came and spoke to our students, and was a great way to network, learn, and think about future opportunities.
The second main event we had was Spark, a hackathon competition. Many students came and created projects in a 7-hour timeframe and competed to win prizes. It was a fun time of collaboration and creativity!
February 2025 Newsletter
A new semester has started! To start off, a workshop was hosted by the Video Game Development Club here at ECU, introducing how to make projects in Unity. We also had speaker Ed Aractingi, who is the Chief Information Officer at the College of William and Mary. Students were able to hear from an industry professional and ask for any advice.
October 2024 Newsletter
Halfway into the semester! So far so good! We start off October with a GitHub workshop, learning about Git and GitHub. Next, at the end of October, many ECU students attended HackNC; a hackathon hosted by UNC-Chapel Hill. Everyone had fun making projects and collaborating with each other!

October was filled with frightfully good workshops, including an introduction to GitHub with ACM Chair Matt Lewis and the basics of game design from Kevin Anderson, filled with lots of tips, tricks, and rubber duckies. Our month rounded out with a collaboration with WiT as guest speakers joined us to share their Day in the Life at IBM!
