Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
Student Chapter
The Association for Computing Machinery, or ACM, is dedicated to bringing together educators, researchers, and professionals in the field of computing and technology. ACM’s main goal is to share stories and resources as well as inspire others to pursue a career in the field. Through leadership, promotion, and recognition, ACM strengthens voices in the computing field and continues to support its members through career development, networking, and education.
ECU’s student chapter of ACM’s aims to connect students in computer science, engineering, and other technology-based majors and minors, as well as anyone who is interested in tech. We strive to provide a community, support system, and space for all who join the club. Computer science and tech-based majors and minors can be difficult to navigate at times, so we hope to help you thrive as you work toward and reach your goals. Our biweekly meetings range from career development support, such as resume-building and interview skills, to guest speakers from a variety of technical backgrounds to educational sessions. Stay up to date with our latest meetings through our Instagram and our Pirate Experience page. We are looking forward to helping you to survive and thrive as you work toward your degree and prepare for a successful career!
